What is Divine Judgment?

Divine judgment (Latin judicium divinum), as an imminent act of God, denotes the action of God’s retributive justice by which the destiny of rational creatures is decided according to their merits and demerits (en.wikipedia.org).

Introduction

A great judgment seat and great judgment is imminent, the court will soon be in session, the judge will be seated, unfortunately there are no lawyers only angels and arch angels will be in attendance, it will be a fearful scene, the face of the judge will be so terrible, heavens and earth will flee away. All heavens and earth will assemble millions and millions of people, then after the great silence, the dead will begin to rise, all small and great sinners from all races and religions, murderers either with mouth, weapons or abortions will appear, the liars, thieves, drunkards, atheists, last minute backsliders, those who forsake or neglect God will appear before the great Judge!

The Impending Judgment

We are allowing the world to shape our lives, one day we will be unsupported by friends, wife, husband, loved ones, lawyers, attorney, and barristers. We must all stand before the throne of God and everything shall be exposed on that day, oh you keep saying “leave me alone, let me run my life it’s my life” The truth is that you do not own your life, you cannot withhold it if God wishes to withdraws it by way of death. You say “I can do what I like or walk to wherever I wish to go” but remember it was Jesus feet that was nailed to the cross not yours. You can do what you want, remember it was his hands that were nailed.

No one gets to hell by accident, the route is always so wide and smooth.

God originally designed hell for the devil and his angels- Mathew 25:41.

The good news is that God has made provision for us not to perish.

What are the purposes of Divine Judgment?

• To give man a very fair trial before his condemnation
• To reward every man according to his works- Revelations 22:12 and the choices we made while on earth.
• All who refused the gift of salvation will be condemned- John 3:18
• To Judge the secrets of men -Romans 2:16
• To wipe away tears of saints and destroy death forever-Revelations 21:4
• To judge the idle words that we speak -Mathew 12:36
• To judge all the words, thoughts, actions and sins of men-Revelations 21:8

What are the basis of Divine Judgment?

• The Conscience- Romans 2:14-15
• The Law-Romans 2:12-14
• The Gospel-John 12:48
• The Books and the Book of Life-Revelations 20:11-13

The judgments day is coming whether we like it or not, it is necessary that we pray daily that this day does not come upon us at unawares, this is why God has left us with a manual for life which is the Bible. Now is man’s Probation to prove to God that he or she is fit for heaven. Whether you believe the judgment day is coming or not it doesn’t really matter or stop it from coming anyway.

The setting of the judgment will be very fearful, God will be on white great and magnificent throne, the sight will be so frightful, heaven and earth will tremble, flee from his presence for safety. John of Patmos gave us this account in Revelation 20:11-13.

Who will be present on the Judgment Day?

All those who have died from the time of Abraham, Enoch will be there, the unbelievers, the skeptics, governors, presidents, backsliders, rebellious, all will stand before God -Revelations 20:11-15.

Everyone in the universe will listen to the awful revelations, right now as I write there are lots of angels standing at our lords command to gather from the corners of the earth both the wicked and the righteous, all the rich of all ages, the famous, the most powerful, influential of all ages, all will be brought to stand before God.

All the Godless presidents, senators, diplomats who are so proud and cannot accept Jesus will stand shivering before him.

Did you ever know the first person to live in your country? You will know that day.

Those who say they do not have time for the gospel will have time for the judgment.

Children who have reached the age of accountability will be judged, so parents please teach your children the ways of the Lord as they will be judged.

Those who want to achieve success before they receive Christ will be there.

All the people saying I don’t want to listen to a message that will make me feel guilty will be there.

God will not excuse anybody on the basis that there is no Christianity in my vicinity, no pastor or no sound doctrines.

Those who have fallen from grace and continues to pretend will go into judgment.

The dead shall rise from the sea, rivers, battle fields and graveyards, oh what a large gathering this will be.

Those who do not have facility to hear the gospel will know about the saving knowledge of our lord Jesus Christ will be judged according to their conscience- Romans 2:14-15. That is why every man has a conscience which is our eternal police man.

All Men,Women,Children,Youths…..Every Human being dead or alive will be present not by choice but mandatory.

Description of the Great White Throne Judgment-Final Judgment

The Judgment will be literal and visible, an individual trial held in God’s court. It’s a great trial, it is called white throne judgment-Revelations20:11, the colour white represents absolute righteousness and justice, all wicked persons shall be there from Adam, God will decree and Jesus will execute.

It will be a very frightful day and the largest congregation man has ever witnessed.

There will be no second chance, it will not be a prayer meeting, and there will be no singing and dancing.

If anyone remembers Jesus, it will only torture them if they are not born again.

There will be no room for repentance, praying will be too late that is why you shouldn’t allow your wife, husband or money, sex or any form of sin take salvation away from you and make you end on the wrong side of judgment.

On that Judgment seat there will be a great roll call of names written in the Books and Book of Life.

The judgment day will be sober for all who were careless with their walk with God, but appear to be bold now.

All the deeds will be written and every man will be held responsible for all they did whether good or bad.

Everyone will be summoned to appear before God whom they have ignored and despised and will render an account. People will look for ways of escape but there will be no way.

They will call upon the mountains to fall upon them but no escape, no help it will be too late.

The Books and the Book of Life

The books will be opened, every sin will be recorded, every failure and neglected opportunity is written down, every long forgotten deeds are written, and carefully conceived sins are made known.

God has been keeping books on every living souls since the time of Adam, God has recorded every passion, motives, intents, every single words that we have ever uttered in our lives and deed, God is recording them, every single thoughts too is noted. The motives are intact in the book of remembrance which is in the book of life, all evil done will be replayed e.g. abortionist doctors, nurses, lawyers, everyone will appear before the judge. They will listen and shudder as names of millions of babies are read that have been killed by them, every scream from the womb will be replayed, everyone who have allowed abortion would be shown the life God planned for the babies they have killed.

The Books will contain names of the souls that will be eternally damned while the Book of life contains those saints who will reign with God forever (Revelations 3:5 and Revelations 20:11-15)

Every sermon, gospel songs, bible passages, and tracts will stand as witnesses.

Your own Balaam donkey that have been talking to you for long but you refuse to listen will stand as witness.

Many are still playing games with God.

Once you arrive at the judgment seat, the time of repentance is now over, outcomes cannot be changed.

Judgement in the House of God-1 Peter 4:17

The bible says that Judgement must begin in the house of the Lord! on that day, our lives will be replayed by our lips when we stand before the judge of all the world, the judge in the world may make mistakes but one thing is clear this judge will not make mistakes-Psalm 7:11.

God is tired of lip service, service from the mouth and not the heart, God will respect true worshipers but not bench warmers, seducers, position seekers, oppressors, hypocrites, thieves etc. you cannot live your life as a Christian and continuously meddle in sin.

As a preacher do not be too particular about church growth, intensify your effort in building up spiritually and helping the members of your church to be heaven minded.

Christians more than anyone else need to be careful about the parts we play in the house of God as our works will judged on the last day.

The church is becoming very worldly and good foundations are being erased by some preachers.

Remember as Christians that friendship with the world is enmity with God

Unfortunately the spirit of religion has captured many Christians today.
Many Christians are more interested in playing religion and their church rather than God himself.
God’s ultimate aim is to make us conform to the image of Christ not the image of your church or Pastors who will also be judged as you.
You may be ready to die for your church but God is not asking for that he wants us to conform to the image of God.

Conclusion

When you sin, do not blame it on Adam, the devil or cover them. Confess and forsake your sins and get going with God.
If you choose to ignore your sins, the consequences will not be erased.
You may pay for them in this life or in hell.
Christians are not to be conformed to this world- Roman 12:2
We are to keep our selves unspotted from the world James 1:27

Deny ungodliness and worldliness of this age- Titus 2:12

Remember not all of us will be raptured, when you die your own personal rapture have come, The Rapture may or may not occur in our life time, what is important is that we must Be Prepared!
Decide today to repent of all your sins and surrender your life to Jesus totally
For believers we must keep asking the lord to keep us standing by his power.
We must read our bibles daily, pray always in the spirit, seek to hear clearly from God directly and have a personal relationship with God.
Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall-1Corinthian10:12
May the power of God make us ready for his coming in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen
